May 15, 2014 – Toronto, Ontario – Matica Resources Inc. (GRF) (“Matica” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce an addition to the Board of Directors. Further to the Company’s announcement that Matica is currently reviewing a number of medical marijuana projects, the Company welcomes Mr. Charn Deol PhD to the Board of Directors.
Mr. Deol has an extensive understanding of the marijuana industry having been an advocate for the legalization of marijuana since his studies at the University of British Columbia. Mr. Deol is a physiological psychologist by profession having earned a M.A. in psychology from UBC and a PhD in counselling psychology from Columbia State College. From this on-going research and review of the medical literature Mr. Deol understands that the legalization of marijuana for medicinal uses will benefit the many individuals who can use this natural substance to alleviate the symptoms of numerous medical conditions.
Charn Deol also has over 30 years of experience in the financial markets. He has served on both private and public company boards. His past and current experience includes providing management and consulting services to companies, project analysis, investor relations, and the financing of international projects. Mr. Deol has extensive experience in international business development having previously been a senior partner in a Futures trading firm with operations in Asia and negotiating mining projects in China and India. Mr. Deol is Vice-President of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (B.C.), and actively involved in fostering trade/business between Canada and India and providing corporate advise to foreign companies.

While pursuing alternative projects, Matica will continue to conduct exploration on its resource projects. Matica has graphite projects in Buckingham Quebec. Buckingham is a historic graphite producing area which has been the scene of renewed exploration activity. The Company has recently entered into an option for an additional 22 claims in the Buckingham area doubling its land position there.
